NOW Panel Overview

Learn how the NOW Panel works, what opportunity types appear, and how to act on, dismiss, and filter your leads.

NOW Panel Overview

The NOW Panel is a real-time list of your highest-priority leads, ranked by a BoomTown algorithm that tracks lead behavior on your site. It’s designed to help you prioritize your outreach when you have limited time — not to replace your full lead list.

Access the NOW Panel at any time by clicking the NOW icon in the top-right corner of your BoomTown account. The number displayed on the icon shows how many unaddressed opportunities are waiting for you.

The Three Tabs

The NOW Panel is organized into three tabs to help you track where each opportunity stands:

Tab

What it shows

Live Feed

Opportunities as they happen, in real time. By default, all opportunity types display here except Browsing. Use the filter icon to customize which types appear.

Acted On

Opportunities you’ve taken action on today, with a note about what action was taken. Cleared each night.

Dismissed

Opportunities you’ve dismissed today. Cleared each night. If you dismiss something by accident, check here before the day ends — it cannot be recovered after the nightly clear.

Opportunity Types

The NOW Panel surfaces two categories of opportunities based on lead quality and behavior:

High Priority

Opportunity

When it appears

High Interest

A lead has shown recent interest in one or more listings and taken action — such as marking a property as a Favorite, viewing it multiple times, using the Mortgage Calculator, or viewing it on the mobile site while near the property.

High Interest in Agency Listing

Same as High Interest, but the property is one of your agency’s own listings.

Renewed Interest

A lead who has been inactive for over 60 days returns to your site.

New Lead / Just Registered

A new lead registers on your site and is assigned to you.

New Lead / Returned to Site

A lead who registered within the last week — and who you have not yet been in contact with — returns to your site.

Note: "Not been in contact with" means you have not received an inbound email from the lead AND have not logged a call as Talked to Prospect. Outbound attempts alone do not count as contact.

Lower Priority

Opportunity

When it appears

Browsing

A lead returns to your site. This type is hidden from the Live Feed by default because it triggers frequently. Enable it using the filter icon if you want to see it.

e-Alert

A lead updates their e-Alert preferences.

Note: Opportunities are sorted by an algorithm that weighs both the type of opportunity and how long it has been in the Live Feed. They will not always appear in chronological order.

Viewing Opportunity Details

Click any opportunity in the NOW Panel to open the Opportunity Details page. Here you’ll find:

  • The lead’s registration information and recently viewed properties.

  • Your recent communication history with the lead.

  • Opportunity-specific details — for example, a High Interest opportunity will show the specific property the lead engaged with.

  • More About This Lead — expand to see contact information, lead source, and location based on IP address.

  • Recent Communication — expand to see logged calls and emails.

Acting On an Opportunity

To act on an opportunity, open it from the NOW Panel and take one of the following actions from the Opportunity Details page:

  • Log a call

  • Add a note

  • Send a text message

  • Send an email

  • Change the lead category

⚠ Important: These actions only count as “Acted On” when taken through the Opportunity Details page. Taking the same actions from the lead’s main profile page will not move the opportunity to the Acted On tab.

Once you act on an opportunity through the Opportunity Details page, it moves automatically to the Acted On tab and is cleared at the end of the day.

Dismissing an Opportunity

To remove an opportunity from your Live Feed without acting on it, click Dismiss in the top-right corner of the opportunity. You’ll be prompted to choose how long to dismiss it for.

Once dismissed, the opportunity moves to the Dismissed tab. Dismissed opportunities are cleared each night.

Note: If you dismiss an opportunity by accident, go to the Dismissed tab and act on it before the end of the day. There is no way to restore a dismissed opportunity after the nightly clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the NOW Panel replace my lead list?

No. The NOW Panel is a prioritization tool for high-activity moments — like the time between appointments. It surfaces your most engaged leads so you can respond quickly, but every lead in your list still has value and should be worked over time.

Why doesn’t Browsing show in my Live Feed?

Browsing is hidden by default because it triggers any time a lead visits your site, which can create a lot of noise. If you want to see Browsing opportunities, click the filter icon on the right side of the Live Feed and enable it.

What happens to my NOW Panel overnight?

At the end of each day, all opportunities in the Acted On and Dismissed tabs are cleared. Opportunities that remain in the Live Feed (not yet acted on or dismissed) carry over to the next day.

Why did an opportunity appear even though I already reached out to that lead?

Outbound contact alone — like sending an email or leaving a voicemail — does not mark a lead as contacted in the NOW Panel. An opportunity triggered by New Lead / Returned to Site will only stop appearing once you’ve received an inbound email reply from the lead, or logged a call as Talked to Prospect.

Can I change which opportunity types appear in my Live Feed?

Yes. Click the filter icon on the right side of the Live Feed to choose which opportunity types are displayed. Your filter settings apply only to your own view.
