What is Zapier?
Zapier is an automation tool that connects BoomTown to over 1,000 other apps and services. It works by linking a Trigger (an event that happens in one app) to an Action (something that happens automatically in another app as a result).
For example, when a new attendee registers in Eventbrite (Trigger), Zapier can automatically create a lead in BoomTown (Action).
Each Trigger + Action pairing is called a Zap.
Do I need to purchase a Zapier account separately?
Yes. Zapier is a service independent from BoomTown, so you will need to purchase a plan directly through Zapier. To learn more about their plans and pricing, visit Zapier's website.
How do I access Zapier from within BoomTown?
To access Zapier through your BoomTown account:
Navigate to your name and profile image in the upper right corner of BoomTown.
Select Integrations from the drop-down menu.
Scroll down to the Zapier section. You will see three buttons:
Support — links to BoomTown's Zapier knowledge base articles.
Sign Up — takes you to Zapier's sign-up page if you don't yet have an account.
Log In — takes you to Zapier's login page to access your existing account.
Select Log In and enter your Zapier credentials to get started.
Note: You can also access your Zapier account directly at zapier.com without going through BoomTown.
How do I set up a Zap?
Every Zap follows the same basic structure:
Choose an app — select the app you want to connect to BoomTown.
Set a Trigger — define the event in that app that will start the Zap.
Set an Action — define what should happen in BoomTown (or another app) when the Trigger fires.
BoomTown offers pre-built Zap templates for the most common integrations so you don't have to build from scratch. For a full list of available templates, see:
BoomTown Action Templates — use another app as the Trigger to create leads in BoomTown.
BoomTown Trigger Templates — use a BoomTown event as the Trigger to take action in another app.
For help building a Zap from scratch, refer to Zapier's Quick Start Guide.
