Getting Started with BoomTown NOW

How to download, log into, and set up the BoomTown NOW mobile app, including push notifications and Do Not Disturb exceptions.

What Is BoomTown NOW?

BoomTown NOW is the official BoomTown mobile app for managing and communicating with your leads on the go. It pairs with your BoomTown CRM account — the same login email and password you use for the web version of BoomTown logs you into the app.

The app is available for both iPhone (iOS) and Android devices.

Looking for browser login on your phone or computer? This article covers the BoomTown NOW mobile app. If you're trying to log in to BoomTown through a web browser instead, see the Logging Into Your Account article.

Download and Install

Download BoomTown NOW from your device's app store:

  • iPhone (iOS): Open the App Store and search for BoomTown NOW.

  • Android: Open the Google Play Store and search for BoomTown NOW.

Tap Get (iOS) or Install (Android) to download. Once installed, open the app from your home screen or app drawer.

Logging In

When you open the app for the first time, you'll see the BoomTown NOW login screen.

  1. Enter your BoomTown login email address (the same email you use for the web CRM).

  2. Enter your password.

  3. Tap Log In.

If you've forgotten your password, tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions emailed to you.

First-time login on iPhone: You'll be offered an optional tutorial of the app. Tap Learn More to view it, or Skip to go straight to your account. You'll then be prompted to enable push notifications and (on iPhone X or later) Face ID.

First-time login on Android: You'll be asked whether you'd like to enable push notifications. Tap OK to enable them with all options on by default.

Logging Out

To log out of the app:

  1. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen to open Settings.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen.

  3. Tap Log Out and confirm.

You'll return to the login screen.

Push Notifications

Push notifications alert you in real time when something happens with your leads, even when the app isn't open.

What triggers a push notification

You'll receive a notification when:

  • A newly registered lead is assigned to you

  • A lead is transferred to you, or assigned to you as the Buyer or Listing Agent

  • A lead is assigned to you through Auto-Import

  • A lead completes a form on your website

  • A lead completes the Start an Offer form

  • A lead emails you

  • A lead sends a text message to your BoomTown number

You can enable or disable any of these individually in your app settings.

Setting up push notifications: iPhone

If you enabled notifications during first-time login, you're already set up — skip to Customizing your notification preferences below.

If you initially declined notifications and want to enable them now:

  1. In the app, tap the gear icon in the top right to open Settings.

  2. Tap Push Notifications.

  3. The app will prompt you to go to your iPhone's native Settings.

  4. Tap to open Settings, then choose Notifications for the BoomTown NOW app.

  5. Enable notifications and choose how you'd like them to display (banners, sounds, badges, etc.).

  6. Return to the BoomTown NOW app to customize which actions trigger notifications.

Setting up push notifications: Android

If you enabled notifications during first-time login, you're already set up — skip to Customizing your notification preferences below.

If you initially declined notifications and want to enable them now:

  1. In the app, tap the gear icon in the top right to open Settings.

  2. Tap Push Notifications.

  3. Toggle Allow Notifications so it switches from grey to blue.

  4. Choose your notification preferences for each action.

Customizing your notification preferences

Once notifications are enabled, you can choose which actions trigger an alert. In the Push Notifications section of your app settings, toggle each action on or off based on what you want to be notified about.

If you have Success Assurance on your BoomTown platform, you'll see additional push notification options in this section that aren't available to non-Success Assurance accounts. Toggle these the same way as the standard options.

Face ID setup (iPhone X or later)

During first-time login on a compatible iPhone, you can enable Face ID to log into the app with facial recognition instead of typing your password each time:

  • Tap Enable when prompted to set up Face ID.

  • If you'd rather skip it, tap Not Now. You can still set this up later through your iPhone's native Face ID settings if you change your mind.

Do Not Disturb Exception (Android)

If your Android device has Do not disturb mode enabled, push notifications from BoomTown NOW will be silenced unless you add the app as an exception.

The exact path to these settings varies by device. The steps below reflect a Samsung Galaxy S22; other Android devices may have slightly different menu names or locations. Look for similar wording on your device.

To add BoomTown NOW as a Do not disturb exception:

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.

  2. Tap Notifications.

  3. Tap Do not disturb.

  4. Tap App Notifications.

  5. Tap the + icon to add an app.

  6. Select BoomTown NOW from the list.

  7. Tap Done.

BoomTown NOW notifications will now bypass Do not disturb mode.

iPhone users: iPhone offers similar functionality through the Focus feature in your phone's Settings. Add BoomTown NOW as an allowed app under whichever Focus mode you use to receive its notifications during quiet hours.

Troubleshooting

I'm not receiving push notifications

Work through these checks in order:

  1. Confirm notifications are enabled in the app. Tap the gear icon → Push Notifications → make sure the relevant action is toggled on.

  2. Confirm notifications are enabled at the device level. On iPhone, go to Settings → Notifications → BoomTown NOW. On Android, go to Settings → Notifications → App Notifications → BoomTown NOW.

  3. Check Do not disturb mode. If your phone is in Do not disturb mode, notifications won't surface unless BoomTown NOW is set as an exception (Android) or allowed app (iPhone Focus).

  4. Confirm you're logged in to the correct account. If you have multiple BoomTown accounts, the app will only push notifications for the account you're currently logged into.

  5. Force-close and reopen the app. Occasionally, the app's connection to the notification service can drift. Closing and reopening it re-establishes the connection.

Forgot Password isn't working

If you've requested a password reset from the Forgot Password link and haven't received the email:

  • Check your spam or junk folder. Password reset emails sometimes get filtered.

  • Confirm you're using your BoomTown login email. This is the email tied to your BoomTown user account, which may be different from your personal email if you have multiple addresses on file.

  • Wait a few minutes and request again if the first email doesn't arrive — occasional delivery delays can happen.

Login fails with the right credentials

  • Verify the email and password work in the web CRM first. Open https://leads.boomtownroi.com in your browser and log in there. If web login also fails, the issue is with your account credentials, not the app — use Forgot Password to reset.

  • Confirm there are no extra spaces in the email or password fields. Mobile keyboards sometimes auto-insert spaces.

  • Update the app. If you're running an older version of BoomTown NOW, updating from the App Store or Google Play may resolve login issues caused by deprecated authentication.

Key Terms

  • BoomTown NOW — The official BoomTown mobile app for iPhone and Android. Pairs with your BoomTown CRM account using the same login credentials.

  • Push Notification — A real-time alert from the BoomTown NOW app sent to your phone when a lead-related action occurs (new lead, lead form submission, text reply, etc.).

  • Do Not Disturb — A device-level setting on Android that silences notifications. BoomTown NOW must be added as an exception to break through this mode.

  • Focus (iPhone) — Apple's iPhone equivalent of Do not disturb. Lets you allow specific apps to deliver notifications during quiet hours.

  • Face ID — Apple's facial recognition login feature. Available on iPhone X or later. Can be enabled in BoomTown NOW for password-free login to the app.

  • Success Assurance — A BoomTown service tier that unlocks additional features, including extra push notification options in the BoomTown NOW app.

A couple of items to verify before publishing:

  1. The exact location of the Log Out button in the app's Settings. I assumed it's at the bottom of the Settings screen — that's the most common pattern but worth confirming.

  2. The "Log In" button label on the app login screen — I used "Log In" but it might be "Sign In" or "Login" depending on the actual UI.

  3. The Face ID setup flow on first login — I described it as appearing after the notification prompt. Confirm the order is: tutorial prompt → notifications → Face ID.

  4. Whether iPhone Focus is the right comparison for Do Not Disturb. iPhone has both a legacy "Do Not Disturb" toggle and the newer Focus feature. If your customers are mostly on older iOS or you'd rather not call out Focus by name, the iPhone callout can be removed.

Ready for the next one.
